Want to feel confident in your next rehearsal, audition, or performance?

I’ve been helping flute students just like you since 2006, and I’d love to help you reach your flute goals.

What will we do in
flute lessons?

After I get to know you and your flute playing, we’ll create a plan that combines fundamentals, music you need to learn (for school or an audition), and music you want to learn - just for fun!

Here are examples of what we might work on in our lessons:

  • Tone & Vibrato

  • Tonguing/Articulation

  • Scales

  • Etudes/Studies

  • Theory & Rhythm

  • Band & Orchestra Music

  • Solos for contest, church, or a recital

  • Non-classical music like pop, video game, & movies!

Why choose me as your flute teacher?

While I have 15 years of experience playing professionally in orchestras, chamber groups, and my own solo flute concerts - I guarantee I’ve been in your shoes somewhere along the way.

I know what it’s like to feel frustrated with my playing.. to not know what to do next while I’m practicing… to experience performance anxiety… physical pain… and even boredom!

Whatever flute challenge you’re facing, I can help you navigate through it - because I’ve likely navigated the same issue myself.

You’re the perfect fit for my studio if you:

  • love playing and listening to music (of any kind!),

  • are curious and eager to learn and improve,

  • are looking for a kind and fun-loving teacher who will help you reach your goals.

Where will my lesson be?

I teach in-person lessons out of my home studio in
Jefferson City, Missouri.

My studio is about 15 minutes from Ashland, New Bloomfield, California, Taos, and Linn, Missouri

What should I bring?

For your first lesson, just bring yourself, your flute, and some music you feel comfortable playing.

During your lesson, we’ll create a practice plan and decide what music and supplies you’ll need to reach your flute goals!
