Sunrise Meditation: Calming Flute Music

I love capturing footage to go with the flute pieces I perform - and this one was no exception.

This piece is called Aubade (tap the audio player above to hear a snippet), and it is the very first piece of music on my Flute Journey Concert.

Since Aubade means “dawn serenade,” I thought it would be so cool to perform it in front of a giant time lapse of a sunrise.

So, earlier this spring, I woke up before dawn, bundled up, filled my thermos, and took my camera out to a local lake where I sat on the deck and blissfully captured the sunrise.

It was absolutely stunning.

Afterward, I made a promise to myself to catch more sunrises… because it is most definitely worth it.

If waking up early and driving to a lake sounds like a lot of work… fear not:

My sunrise time lapse is now up on YouTube.

Just grab a cozy drink and tap to watch the video.

I can’t wait to see you there.
